Certificate guide by method version
Every Akkubrief certificate states the method version it was calculated with at the bottom. This page explains, for each version, what the figures on the document mean — and what they do not mean. Older editions stay online so that a certificate issued once remains explainable years later.

Why older pages name a checksum and newer ones a row
Up to method version cert-3.5.0 these pages name a version and a SHA-256 checksum of the whole pack table file. That was the promise: if the table changes, its version and this page change with it. Each document is still governed by the details of its own version — those pages are not outdated, and we have not touched them.
From cert-3.6.0 a document instead evidences its own row: its verification page states which row of the table the reference quantity came from, and what fingerprint that row had when the document was issued. This is the narrower promise. A correction to another vehicle's row no longer touches the document — with a file checksum it did. So if you compare an older page's checksum against today's file you may well find a difference; it says nothing about the document that page explains.
